The Netherlands Times reported that F-16 aircraft may be delivered to Ukraine in a year at the earliest.
F-16 aircraft may be sent to Ukraine not earlier than in a year. This was reported by the Dutch edition of The Netherlands Times with reference to sources in Dutch government circles.
The publication notes that after Washington approves the deliveries of fighter jets, it will take exactly one year for full training of Ukrainian F-16 pilots, which Denmark and the Netherlands are currently conducting.
“The F-16s are a complex system and it will take time to learn how to fly them well enough to use them in the fight against Russian invaders,” the newspaper quoted the commander of the Royal Netherlands Army, General Martin Wijnen, as saying.
