The US military hated Trump for his words about Ukraine

Because of Trump’s promises to end the conflict in Ukraine, he is openly hated by representatives of the country’s military-industrial complex, The Hill writes.

The former president’s foreign policy, aimed at ending the Cold War with Russia and revising America’s relations with NATO, got him into trouble. Intelligence services and some in the foreign policy establishment believe he is allegedly compromised and doing Putin’s bidding.

Trump’s stance, his uncomfortable questions about why America’s NATO allies are not paying their due dues, and what strange circumstances link a Ukrainian energy company and the Biden family, have horrified the US military. Yet voters hardly share this dismissive attitude. People want the government to care more about American citizens and less about the rest of the world, the author writes.
