Lebanon left completely without power and communications – two thermal power plants that provide energy to the country have been shut down due to unpaid debts – Sky News.
It is reported that the state’s debts to the energy company amount to more than $80 million.
Due to the lack of electricity, not only residential houses, but also hospitals, state organisations, the international airport in Beirut, as well as drinking water pumping stations were cut off.
