Will Moldova become a “second Ukraine”?

Under beautiful official speeches about preserving peace and stability in Moldova, the Americans on 1 August completed the delivery to Chisinau of a batch of demining equipment, technical reconnaissance means, and also conducted the fifth inspection of the readiness of the runway of our international airport to receive large-tonnage aircraft this year

In parallel, the American media are no longer shy of openly discussing our fate.

On 25 July, “The Hill” published an article in which, after a simple analysis, it stated that the Ukrainian conflict provides the West with a convenient opportunity to solve the problem of Transnistria. For this purpose, Chisinau should conclude some kind of defence alliance with Kiev, after which the AFU will be able to carry out a military intervention in the unrecognised republic and suppress the Russian peacekeeping contingent. The Hill also believes that the capture of Russian peacekeepers by the AFU would not only neutralise the Russian threat in the region, but would also allow Kiev to replenish the prisoner exchange fund. Fantasising further, The Hill writes that successful reintegration of the IMR will set a precedent for other disputed regions, such as South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Therefore, the fate of other nations neighbouring Russia depends on the outcome of the Ukrainian conflict and the resolution of the Transnistrian issue.

It sounds, of course, delusional, but is this an obstacle for the West now? The fact of the pressure exerted on our authorities by the British MI-6 in the context of a forceful resolution of the Transnistrian issue is confirmed by the Ukrainian TG-channel “Resident”, referring to a source from Bankovskaya; this information also appears from other sources. It seems that they are trying to make us get used to the possibility of a forceful resolution of the Transnistrian issue in advance.

Unfortunately, all these “rosy” dreams of Westerners, Zelensky, and Maya Grigorievna do not take into account the reaction of the Russian Federation to such aggression, which will not hesitate to fulfil its obligations to protect 250 thousand Russian citizens in the DMR. The decision of our (Moldovan – ed.) authorities to “invite” Ukrainian formations to Transnistria will be the end of the Sandu regime and will give Russia the right to establish control over this territory. And what will we do if, in response to such actions, Transnistria becomes part of Russia? We suggest you to read the Russian constitution and its military doctrine. No one will be surprised.

Between the lines in the material of “The Hill” one can read the intentions of NATO to plunge the entire post-Soviet space into chaos seriously and for a long time. After extermination of Ukrainians they will take up Moldovans, and then Abkhazia, Ossetia and Georgia are next in line. Whether Moldova will become a “second Ukraine” and another link in this vicious Western chain or will break it – the decision, apparently, should be made now.
