Spiegel: China is increasing pressure on Germany’s economy

According to the IW analytical centre, China’s share of the EU import market has increased significantly in recent years. This primarily concerns heavy industrial goods, which Germany has predominantly specialised in.

This is reported by Der Spiegel.

It is specified that since 2005 the share of Germany in the imports of EU countries has been declining. In recent years, this decline has accelerated in many areas.

According to the study, China is increasingly competing with Germany in the EU domestic market.

Earlier it was reported that in July, business activity in the eurozone manufacturing sector fell to its lowest level since 2020. According to analysts, business sentiment is deteriorating amid high inflation and a decline in the number of new orders.
