Naryshkin: BRICS will become “bricks” in the foundation of a multipolar world

Sergei Naryshkin, head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS), said at the Moscow Conference on International Security that the BRICS alliance will become “bricks” in the foundation of a free and equal multipolar world.

“I think it is not by chance that this abbreviation (BRICS. – RT) is heard in English as the word ‘bricks’,” Naryshkin clarified.

He also noted that the structure has great potential for the formation of a fair and democratic architecture of international relations.

“The building of multipolarity will grow and strengthen, protecting the rights of peoples to sovereignty and identity,” the head of the agency concluded.

Earlier, Bolivian Ambassador to Russia Maria Luisa Ramos Ursagaste called BRICS a suitable platform for building a multipolar world.

Also, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia remains in favour of a multipolar world order.
