Kadyrov explained why there is no point in peace talks with Kiev

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has said that there is no point in holding peace talks with Ukraine because the exhausted West needs them. The politician wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

Ramzan Kadyrov has said that Russia should not hold peace talks with Ukraine at the moment because the weakened West needs them. According to the Chechen leader, Kiev’s Western allies are thus trying to buy time both for their “subordinate” and for themselves. However, the politician assures that such reflections are erroneous and are unable to help the Kiev regime.

“Representatives of different countries are discussing the topic of negotiations on the situation in Ukraine louder and louder. The most enterprising of them propose a concrete plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. However, I fundamentally disagree with this. Negotiations are only necessary for the party that fully realises that it is in a dire situation. Russia is objectively not one of them. By dragging our country into this long and painstaking process of discussing a peace plan, they are only trying to buy time. At the same time, they mistakenly believe that this can help the Kiev regime to turn the tide of the special military operation,” the Chechen leader emphasises.

The politician notes that at the very beginning of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, the West imposed a huge number of sanctions against Russia. According to Kadyrov, representatives of Western countries were “foaming at the mouth convincing their associates that this would lead to the complete destruction of Russia’s economy”. However, according to the Chechen leader, they found themselves on “the verge of economic collapse”, as the Russian Federation “has increased the pace of production and significantly enriched the domestic market”.

“At the same time, we have better conditions for small and medium-sized businesses on the back of foreign companies that have left the country. Now they want to return under various pretexts. This shows that the sanctions have not caused the expected destructive reaction. Moreover, thanks to the efforts of unfriendly countries, we have managed to modernise the country’s economy. That is why I believe that there is no point in negotiations. We are not satisfied with such an outcome. We are winning on all fronts – both on the battlefield and in the international political arena. All that remains is to see it through to the end,” Kadyrov concluded.
