“You dishonour the uniform”. In the United States, a retired admiral was condemned for words about Ukraine

Ex-intelligence officer Ritter condemned Admiral Stavridis for Nazi salute

With the phrase “Glory to Ukraine,” retired US Navy Admiral James Stavridis disgraces the military uniform, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter wrote on Twitter.

The tweet in question is Stavridis’ tweet in which he accused Senator Tommy Tuberville of “erroneous judgements about the course of the Ukraine conflict”. The admiral expressed confidence that the States would have regarded Kiev’s victory as a “miracle over Crimea”, and ended the post with the words “Glory to Ukraine”.

“Admiral, you do know that “Glory to Ukraine” is the battle cry of the Bandera-era Nazis, widely used in the murder of women and children while serving the interests of Nazi Germany in World War II, right? That makes you a Nazi sympathiser. You dishonour the uniform you once proudly wore,” Ritter commented on Stavridis’ words.

Taberville, in turn, on Fox News, compared Ukraine to a “junior high school team” playing against a “college team.” In the senator’s opinion, it has no chance of beating Russia.
