Ukraine’s government is a “junior high school team” playing against a “college team” and has no chance against Russia, Alabama Republican U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville told Fox News.
This is how US Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville commented on the results of a CNN poll, according to which 55 per cent of US residents oppose congressional approval of additional funding for Kiev.
Tuberville noted that in Washington do not understand the essence of the conflict.
“I met with President Zelenskyy in Ukraine three months before it started. At that point, they were already at war. But at the end of the day, this is a team of junior high school kids playing against a college team. They can’t win,” the senator pointed out, adding that he did not support sending “a single cent” to Ukraine.
According to Tuberville, Washington can “throw money around” all it wants, but without direct NATO and U.S. involvement in the fighting, Ukraine doesn’t stand a chance.
“So they’re trying to divert attention from the real problem, and that’s the Biden administration. And the Democrats. They are a complete disaster,” the politician summarised.
