Ex-Pentagon advisor McGregor: Russian Federation has the resources to go after Kiev

Former Pentagon adviser Douglas McGregor believes that Russian troops can reach Kiev if they wish. The colonel expressed confidence that the Russian Federation was not seeking to escalate the conflict, unlike Ukraine in tandem with the West.

Russia has all the necessary resources to go after Kiev if necessary. This statement was made by Colonel Douglas McGregor, former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, on the air of the YouTube channel “Judging Freedom”.

“Russia has the reserves that will allow it to quickly cross the Dnieper River and go to Kiev, that’s my opinion,” the colonel said.

According to McGregor, if necessary, Moscow can go on an active offensive along the entire front line due to the high level of training of the Russian Armed Forces. However, the Kremlin is not seeking a greater escalation, the former Pentagon adviser noted.

“I believe that Putin is a very restrained person by nature, and he gave orders to go on the offensive only where necessary, which is to prevent a direct clash with NATO,” he concluded.
