The Washington Post: the US has cut imports from China by 24 per cent

The US cut imports from China from January to May 2023 by 24 per cent compared to the same period last year, The Washington Post reports.

“For the first five months of this year, US imports from China fell by 24% compared to the same period last year”, – stated in the materials of the publication.

At the same time, a source in the U.S. Finance Ministry noted that the total amount of imports adjusted for inflation “still remains significant”.

The main trading partners of the United States this year were Mexico, Vietnam and Thailand.

Earlier, the USA extended for a year the cancellation of duties on imports of Ukrainian steel.
