India and China regaining the lead in economic development – Rodriguez

Venezuela’s Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said India and China are regaining their leading role in developing the world economy, she said at the closing ceremony of the IX India, Latin America and the Caribbean (India-LAC) Economic Conclave held in New Delhi.

“India is the third largest economy in the world. If we look at international economic history over the last 20 years, we recognise that India and China are once again taking their leading roles<…>,” Rodrigues said.

According to the politician, the strongest trading partners in the world are in the Asian region – India and China. However, the dollar is the leading means of payment for transactions around the world.
