InfoBRICS: Russian naval exercises in the Baltic Sea have destroyed the idea of a “NATO lake”. The article notes that the Western military bloc, led by the United States, “has a poor grasp of geography”.
The Russian Navy’s naval exercise “Ocean Shield 2023” demonstrated the absence of full control of the Western military bloc over the Baltic Sea, destroying the idea of a “NATO lake”. Military analyst Drago Bosnik said in an article for the InfoBRICS publication.
“The aggressive alliance “joked” by saying that the Baltic Sea is supposedly a “NATO lake”. And while it can be assumed that members of the US-led bloc have a poor grasp of geography, which explains quite well how they could have forgotten about Russian coastal zones in the Baltics, Moscow did not fail to remind NATO that such claims are nothing more than self-deception and fantasy,” the piece reads.
Bosnik noted that Russian exercises in these waters are commonplace, often in response to NATO’s bellicose actions and general aggressive stance.
