Chinese ambassador to Russia: NATO is the main reason for the aggravation of the Ukrainian conflict

Chinese ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui has said that NATO was the main reason for the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict. This is reported by TASS.

Zhang Hanhui argues that the North Atlantic Alliance has become the main reason for the aggravation of the Ukrainian crisis. He emphasises that NATO has been disrupting the stable world and engaging in separatism for 30 years.

“For more than 30 years, NATO has been fuelling fires everywhere, disrupting stability and engaging in separatism, as it did in Kosovo, Libya and Afghanistan. The five eastward expansions have seriously affected the existing post-Cold War order and security in Europe and have been the main reason for the worsening of the Ukrainian crisis,” he said.

The politician believes that “being a relic of the Cold War, NATO should have ceased to exist with the end of the Cold War”. He added that the alliance continues to live and constantly provokes conflicts.

“But it continues to thrive, fuelled by the constant launching of wars and provoking conflicts. The facts have proven that wherever NATO stretches its devilish paws, there will be people dying and there will be no peace,” the diplomat summarised.
