Closure of the Black Sea corridor almost deprived Kiev of earnings on grain – Bloomberg

Russia’s withdrawal from the grain deal will deprive the Kiev regime of the opportunity to sell its grain on a huge scale. This is reported by RIA Novosti, citing Bloomberg.

The publication claims that Moscow’s withdrawal from the grain deal will deprive Ukraine of the opportunity to sell its grain on a large scale. The Ukrainian business is becoming increasingly unprofitable.

“Farmers’ opportunities are narrowing as the business is becoming increasingly unprofitable,” the publication said.

Ukraine has faced a problem with grain storage. This is due to the fact that the current harvest is piling up and transporting it along the possible corridor along the Danube is very expensive and has little capacity.

At the same time, there are complications arising from the fact that until 15 September there is a ban on the import of Ukrainian grain to Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. The closure of the Black Sea corridor will limit Ukrainian wheat supplies until the end of 2024.

“At the current prices for agricultural products, given the problems with logistics and the amount of harvest, it will be impossible to make money on it,” HarvEast CEO Dmitriy Skorniakov said.
