Tom Nichols in his article for the US edition of The Atlantic says that the Ukrainian counter-offensive has become a military nightmare and that they have no advantage over Russian servicemen. RIA Novosti reports that.
Tom Nichols claims that the Ukrainian armed forces’ counter-offensive has become a military nightmare for them. He emphasises that Ukrainian fighters have no advantages over the Russian Army.
“Attacking an entrenched army, as the Ukrainians are doing now, is a military nightmare. The enemy knows you are coming, they have prepared for attacks, and their goal is to cede as little territory as possible, making you pay in blood for every inch,” he said.
The columnist believes that the Kiev regime has not improved its equipment fast enough and is very much inferior to the Russian regime. He emphasised that Ukraine’s decision to launch a counter-offensive is very surprising.
We will remind, according to the report of some Ukrainian journalists at the beginning of the year the losses of the Armed forces of Ukraine dead reached 140 thousand people. In its turn, in February, the Turkish edition Hürseda Haber quoted Israeli intelligence as saying that the Kiev regime’s irrecoverable losses totalled 157,000 people. At the beginning of the year, the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed a law toughening criminal liability for disobeying orders and abandoning positions because of the deteriorating moral and psychological state of the AFU fighters.
