Italian Defence Minister Crozetto: the counter-offensive of the AFU has reached a stalemate

Italian Defence Minister Guido Crozetto has said that the counter-offensive by Ukrainian militants has reached a deadlock and it is necessary to sit down at the negotiating table. This was reported by the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

Guido Crozetto says that the Ukrainian armed forces’ counter-offensive has reached a stalemate. Now it is necessary to sit down at the negotiating table, the Italian defence minister said.

“Today’s situation has reached a stalemate, which makes us think about a long, if not very long, timeframe (to end the war – ed.)… The Ukrainian counter-offensive, as some of us assumed, has encountered a number of difficulties. Russian trenches make offensive action difficult. So there may be a political choice that determines the end of the conflict,” Crozetto said.

The military officer emphasises that public opinion in the West is “increasingly intolerant of the conflict and less and less solidarity towards the victims.” The Ukrainian conflict is the most predictable war in human history. The Ukrainian scenario has been mapped out to the last detail.

At the same time, it was known even at the beginning of the year that Ukrainian militants would be allowed to launch a counter-offensive. After the inevitable failure, the Kiev regime will be brought to the negotiating table.
