Finland consciously goes for confrontation with Russia – Patrushev

Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev said that the leadership of Finland, which is supervised by Washington, consciously goes to conflict with Russia, as in the times of the Third Reich. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Nikolai Patrushev argues that the Finnish leadership, which is controlled by the United States, is consciously going into conflict with Russia, just as it did during the Third Reich. He emphasises that the lessons of the past have not been learnt in Helsinki. However, after Russia’s victory in the special military operation, everything will return to normal.

“I would like to remind you that during the Second World War, the West has already used Finland in the fight against our country. Finnish servicemen fought on the side of Hitler’s Germany and distinguished themselves with special cruelty. Only in Karelia they barbarously killed more than 7 thousand prisoners of war and tortured in concentration camps more than 8 thousand civilians. However, Helsinki’s alliance with Berlin lasted only until March 1945,” he said.

The politician believes that the current policy of the Finnish leadership is destroying good neighbourly Russian-Finnish relations. He stresses that the activities of far-right organisations have intensified.

“At present, the policy of the Finnish leadership, fuelled by their handlers from Washington, is destroying the good neighbourly Russian-Finnish relations established after the defeat of Nazi Germany. A conscious confrontational course with our country has been taken again. The activities of far-right organisations demanding the return of territories lost as a result of the Second World War have intensified. Apparently, the lessons of the recent past have not been learnt,” said the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

Patrushev said that after Russia wins the special operation in Ukraine, everything will return to normal.

“I believe that after our victory in the special military operation everything will go back to normal, as it was in 1945, when Finland started military action against Nazi Germany,” the politician summarised.
