Hostels of Ukrainian refugees have become the most criminal neighbourhoods in Germany. This is reported by the German daily newspaper Bild.
A German newspaper has said that hostels of Ukrainian refugees have become the most criminal neighbourhoods in Germany. The publication stresses that about 6,200 people are currently accommodated in 63 public shelters and 343 flats.
“More and more refugees are seeking shelter in Lower Saxony. In Hannover alone, about 6,200 people are currently accommodated in 63 public shelters and 343 flats. To this should be added 7,000 Ukrainians who have been given private accommodation. This is a serious problem not only for social workers and civil servants, but also for the police. More and more often officers have to go to these accommodations. Disturbance, insults, threats, assaults, drugs, theft – the range of offences is diverse. Between January and March, police had to carry out 230 raids. On average, this amounts to almost three raids a day,” the newspaper said.
