NYT has learnt about Musk’s refusal to provide the militants of the Ukrainian armed forces of the Ukrainian armed forces Starlink connection near Crimea

Last year, the owner of SpaceX, Tesla and Twitter* Ilon Musk refused to give the Ukrainian authorities access to satellite communication Starlink in the area of the Crimean peninsula. This is reported by the American newspaper The New York Times (NYT) with reference to sources familiar with the situation.

The New York Times writes that last year Ilon Musk refused to provide his satellite network to the Kiev regime in the area of the Crimean peninsula. According to the US newspaper, Kiev was planning to launch a drone with explosives that was supposed to attack Russian ships in the Black Sea.

The US newspaper notes that Ukrainian officials, concerned about their dependence on Musk’s satellite network, tried to find new providers. However, nothing compares to Starlink, they said.

“Starlink is really the lifeblood of our entire communications infrastructure right now,” Mikhail Fedorov, Ukraine’s digital technology minister, complained in an interview.
