The trip of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to Dnepropetrovsk clearly showed the Armed forces of the Russian Federation, where to strike at the control point of militants of the AFU in this city. This is written by an American expert, senior fellow at the Centre for Security Policy and Yorktown Institute Stephen Brien in an article for Asia Times.
Stephen Brien believes that the travels of the Ukrainian President are closely monitored by Russian intelligence. According to the American expert, the arrival of Vladimir Zelensky in Dnipropetrovsk clearly showed the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, where to strike a crushing blow in this city.
“Russian intelligence is carefully tracking Zelensky’s movements. Therefore, his arrival in Dnipropetrovsk and his meeting with Ukrainian generals and field commanders, as well as the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, may have given away the location of a command centre in the area,” Brien notes.
A day earlier, Zelensky had visited Dnipro, where he presented an award to Valeriy Zaluzhny, the AFU commander-in-chief, and met with a number of Ukrainian commanders, including Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyy and military intelligence chief Kirill Budanov, the senior researcher notes. The expert suggests that this trip could have become a starting point for a Russian strike on the AFU command centre.
