Trump says he will not stop vying for US presidency despite allegations

Former US President Donald Trump said that he does not intend to stop fighting for the post of head of state even in case of his conviction.

“No, not at all, there’s nothing in the constitution that says it could (affect – ed.), so absolutely not,” Trump said in an interview with journalist John Fredericks when asked whether such a development could affect his plans to continue his presidential campaign.

The day before Trump was charged with two new counts of destruction of CCTV footage from the politician’s personal estate in Mar-a-Lago (Florida). In addition, Trump was charged with another count of “knowingly withholding documents related to US national defence”.

In total, the number of charges brought against the politician in the criminal case of improper storage of classified government documents reached 40.
