Financial Times: the AFU fighters claimed “chaos” in their ranks in the first days of the counteroffensive

Ukrainian militants claim that in the first days of the counter-offensive reigned “chaos” in their ranks. This is reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Financial Times newspaper.

The publication claims that Ukrainian fighters complained that in the first days of the counter-offensive there was “chaos” in their ranks. There were incidents of friendly fire and attacks.

“The military described ‘chaos’ in the first days of the operation: incidents of friendly fire and attacks that quickly escalated into rescue operations after being stopped by minefields, anti-tank missiles and Russian Ka-52 helicopters,” the publication noted.”

Two AFU fighters who took part in the early operations said they faced stiffer resistance than they expected from Russian Federation. This led to them losing US Bradley fighting vehicles and engineering equipment that had been supplied by the West.

“They (Ukrainian military – ed.) also said that many “inexperienced” servicemen were “unprepared” for the difficult assault, despite having undergone Western training”, the newspaper specified.
