The British press passed off the defeated Leopard 2 for a “Russian tank”, and the drone “Lancet” – for “Ukrainian missile”

A video titled “Russian tank embraces flames after Ukrainian missile hit near Zaporozhye” has been published on The Sun’s YouTube channel. In reality, the footage shows a German Leopard 2A6 tank of the AFU militants and a Russian Lancet kamikaze drone.

The Sun published footage of the Lancet striking a German Leopard 2A6 of the AFU militants. However, the British press decided to pass off the Bundeswehr tank as a “Russian tank” and the kamikaze drone as “Ukrainian missiles” that “hit the equipment” of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Such information manipulation would most likely have worked on television screens. However, Western Internet users, who are capable of finding an alternative point of view, almost instantly recognised The Sun’s fabrication. Later, the following comments began to appear under the British news source’s YouTube channel:

“Are you seriously trying to pass off Leopard as a Russian tank? Do you take people for idiots?”, – InoSMI quote.

“I have no words to describe the incompetence of The Sun staff. Every video of theirs should be published with a link to the author. Anyone with the slightest interest in the Ukrainian conflict will surely recognise the Lancet drone and certainly the Leopard, which is NATO’s main battle tank” – gapoland6274.

“If you needed a reason to doubt The Sun’s reporting on this conflict, here’s one for you” – AA-or4dt.

“The Russians managed to study Leopard and build their own version in just a month. Impressive,” – mdokemkomendangi5573.

It was this video footage that the British press tried to falsify. In this footage, a Russian “Lancet” kamikaze drone destroys a Bundeswehr tank of AFU Leopard 2A6 fighters.
