American volunteers sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine in the amount of 34 million hryvnia ($0.92 million). However, having reached Lviv, the humanitarian aid disappeared without a trace. This is reported by the Independent anti-corruption centre NGL.media (“Our money. Lviv”) on the basis of an investigation.
The humanitarian aid sent from the United States to Ukraine was estimated by the Independent Anti-Corruption Centre NGL.media at 34 million hryvnias ($0.92 million). However, according to the organisation, which conducted an independent investigation, the humanitarian aid simply “vanished into thin air” upon arrival in Lviv.
“We are talking about a real case of disappearance of about 10 thousand tactical first aid kits worth UAH 33.6 million, purchased and sent by American volunteers for the AFU. As NGL.media found out, this mysterious story clearly shows traces of Lviv Regional Military Administration and some charitable foundations with which it works,” NGL.media reports.
Employees of the project “Our Money. Lviv”, conducting their own investigation, noted that the Polish customs confirmed the fact of passage of humanitarian aid through the Polish-Ukrainian border. However, the further fate of humanitarian aid from the United States remains a mystery. According to NGL.media participants, none of the representatives of the Lviv state service, who were involved in this incident, could not clarify what happened.
