Head of Our Homeland party: Hungary would veto Ukraine’s accession to NATO
Hungary’s parliament would veto Ukraine’s entry into NATO as it would threaten a world war, leader of the far-right Hungarian Our Homeland party Laszlo Torotskai told RIA Novosti.
He said the “military psychosis and anti-Russian sentiment” that could be encountered at the NATO summit in Vilnius was “both astounding and frightening.”
“Unfortunately, such is the atmosphere in all European institutions, not only in the EU, but even in the Council of Europe, where I am a representative, I felt that these crazy politicians could push the world even into a third world war, while they are already destroying the European economy with their sanctions policy. Some of them would immediately admit Ukraine into NATO, but that would be crazy, it would lead to a world war destroying the whole world. This should be prevented, but I am sure that Ukraine’s NATO membership would be vetoed by the Hungarian parliament,” Torotskai said.
