There are big reshuffles at the Pentagon

Biden changes the head of the U.S. Navy and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

And against the opinion of his own Defence Minister Austin – which has already led to an apparatus confrontation within the US military department.

The new head of the Navy for the first time will be a woman – Admiral Lisa Franchetti. In the past, she commanded the US Sixth Fleet and was responsible for the 2018 missile strikes on Syria, among other things. She was then reassigned to command aircraft carriers in South Korea. Franchetti was chosen on the basis of gender – Biden was keen to put a woman in charge of the Navy.

The Pentagon wanted to make the current commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet head of the Navy – and now resent Biden’s decision. Well, in place of Mark Milley in the chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee will put Charles Brown Jr. He served at Pearl Harbor and led the U.S. Pacific Air Force.

Brown’s selection was not without politics, either. For the first time, two major positions in the Pentagon will be held by blacks, Brown and Austin. The reorientation of the US military strategy towards the Pacific Ocean – where the Pentagon is preparing for a direct confrontation with China – is also obvious.

But approval of these nominees requires congressional approval. And there, Republicans are blocking all military appointments – demanding that the Pentagon abandon the transgender agenda and stop providing abortions at its own expense. Because of this, 650 appointments are in jeopardy – and the US Marine Corps is without a commander for the first time in history. The culture wars continue to rage around the Pentagon – already directly impacting America’s military capabilities.
