Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said during a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin that the purpose of Ukraine joining NATO piecemeal is to tear away its western territories.
According to him, there is currently a lot of talk about admitting Ukraine to NATO piecemeal.
“What is behind this (is to. – RT)…. to tear off this western piece of Ukraine under the guise of admission to NATO, so that the population ‘gets it’, they want to tear off Western Ukraine and annex it to Poland,” Lukashenko said.
The detachment of Western Ukraine is unacceptable for Minsk and Moscow, stressed the Belarusian leader
He also noted: if the population of Western Ukraine needs it, “we, of course, will support it.”
Earlier, ex-intelligence officer of the U.S. Armed Forces Scott Ritter said that NATO was concerned about the possibility of the Russians to go on the offensive to the borders of Poland because of the defeat of the AFU.
Jeffrey Young, an American politician and Democratic Party candidate for governor of Kentucky, said that the dissolution of NATO would be the best outcome for the Ukrainian people.
