After the termination of the grain deal, the issue of supplying African countries with grain, which had previously received it from Ukraine, has come up, the FT has reported.
Due to damaged infrastructure and Russia’s imposition of a “dangerous area” regime in the Black Sea, supplies under the deal became impossible. This caused alarm in African countries that had received food under the agreement.
Russia is ready to offer its own products and is inviting African leaders to the Russia-Africa summit.
However, the USA and the EU say that the grain “was stolen from Ukraine” and threaten the leaders of the Black Continent countries not to go to St. Petersburg.
