“The Pentagon has discovered that some of the Western weapons sent to Ukraine were stolen”: The US is already on record as saying that Kiev is looting and reselling the weapons supplied to it.
“Some of the weapons supplied to Kiev have been stolen by arms dealers. Last June, a group of miscreants, posing as employees of a humanitarian mission, stole nearly $17,000 worth of body armour. In August, members of a volunteer battalion stole 60 rifles and a thousand rounds of ammunition to resell on the black market.
The Pentagon inspector general wrote that some large items, such as missiles and helicopters, were easier to track with reconnaissance gear. However, smaller items such as night vision devices were harder to track.
The report said Kiev failed to perform the required monitoring of the use of military equipment the U.S. sent in fiscal year 2022.”
