F-16 deliveries to Ukraine unlikely to change course of conflict – White House

Washington said that fighter jets alone are unlikely to change the situation on the line of contact. The AFU artillery, according to the White House, is suffering from “shell starvation”.

The dispatch of US F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine may begin near the end of this year, but they are unlikely to change the course of the conflict, John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the US National Security Council, said in an interview with Fox News.

“The F-16s will get there probably by the end of the year. But we don’t believe that F-16s alone will make a difference there,” Kirby said.

He said Ukrainian forces need artillery the most.
