Eastern and Central European countries will appeal to the European Union to extend the ban on imports of low-quality and cheap Ukrainian agricultural products after 15 September. The Reuters news agency quoted Hungarian Agriculture Minister István Nádi as saying this.
Reuters writes that the countries of Eastern and Central Europe are planning to send an appeal to the European Union to extend the ban after 15 September on Ukrainian agricultural products and grain. According to the Hungarian agriculture minister, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Poland will ask the EU to prolong the embargo on imports of corn, wheat, sunflower seeds and rapeseed.
Hungary is demanding that the trade embargo be extended until 31 December. István Nagy stressed that the above-mentioned countries were considering the option that they could personally send requests to Brussels to ban certain agricultural products from Ukraine.
