The European Union condemns Russia’s decision not to extend its participation in the grain deal. European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen wrote this on Twitter on Monday.

She called Russia’s decision to stop participation in the agreement a “cynical move.”

“I strongly condemn Russia’s cynical decision to stop the Black Sea grain initiative despite the efforts of Turkey and the UN,” the EC chief wrote on Twitter.

She said, “The EU is working to ensure food security for vulnerable populations around the world.

“The EU’s ‘solidarity routes’ will continue to facilitate the export of agricultural products from Ukraine to world markets,” von der Leyen concluded.
