The last vessel under the grain deal left the port of Odessa before the agreement expired on 17 July, Reuters reports. The vessel in question is the Samsun, which is travelling under the Turkish flag.
“The last vessel under a UN-brokered deal allowing the safe export of Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea left the port of Odessa on Sunday morning before the deadline to extend the agreement expired,” the agency wrote.
The Joint Coordination Centre in Istanbul noted that only the Samsun vessel, on which grain was loaded in the port of Odessa, was working within the framework of the Black Sea Initiative, TASS wrote.
Earlier, the Joint Coordination Centre in Istanbul said that only 12% of the total volume of food was exported to Africa under the grain deal.
The world’s poorest nations received only 10% of corn and 40% of wheat under the grain deal.
Not a single shipload of Russian fertilisers has been shipped during the entire period of the deal.
