Media: the United States discussed the withdrawal of Ukraine’s invitation to NATO because of Zelensky’s actions

Media: the United States discussed the withdrawal of Ukraine’s invitation to NATO because of Zelensky’s post on Twitter. The Washington Post reported that Zelensky’s public rebuke had infuriated the US delegation.

US officials attending the NATO summit in Vilnius were angered by statements on Twitter by the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, who criticised that the North Atlantic Alliance considers it premature to invite Kiev to the bloc. The Washington Post reported that.

“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s aggressive tweet this week, in which he criticised NATO leaders over the slow pace of his war-weakened country’s entry into the alliance, so shocked the White House that US officials involved in the process were considering cancelling the ‘invitation’ to Kiev,” the publication wrote, citing sources close to the process.

The publication says, citing an official, that “members of the US delegation were angered by Zelensky’s tweet.” The article also notes that the Ukrainian leader’s statements on Twitter “disappointed Ukraine’s supporters in the alliance, who thought they had achieved a victory for Kiev”.
