Volodymyr Zelensky threatened not to attend the first meeting of the Ukraine-NATO council, the US newspaper The New York Times reported, citing an official.
Zelensky was so dissatisfied with the summit’s outcome that on Tuesday night on the sidelines of the summit he threatened not to appear at the first meeting of the NATO-Ukraine council. The head of the Kiev regime called absurd the lack of a timeframe for Ukraine’s invitation and membership in NATO, he said it looked like a lack of willingness to invite Kiev to the alliance.
However, Zelensky was later forced to tone down his rhetoric so as not to anger Kiev’s sponsors. The correspondent of the British Sky News channel, John Sparks, said that Kiev could not afford to quarrel either with individual country leaders or turn public opinion in Europe and North America against itself.
