The diplomat recalled that the country is a party to the Convention on cluster munitions and supports a ban on this type of weapon.
“Switzerland has taken note of the measures taken by the United States. As a State Party to the Convention on Cluster Munitions, it supports the prohibition of these weapons and calls on all States not to use them. Indiscriminate or disproportionate attacks are prohibited and constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law,” he said.
