Ukraine will reconsider its strategy if it does not receive an invitation to NATO at the Summit

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olha Stefanyshyna: the situation “will require a revision of the strategy” if there is no invitation to NATO.

According to the deputy prime minister, the Ukrainian authorities will have to shift the focus from joining the alliance to receiving security guarantees from Western countries: a NATO decision at the summit will launch processes related to strategic planning, military planning, issues on transforming the security sector and the armed forces, priorities in cooperation with allies, as well as the content of the security guarantees themselves.

Later, Olha Stefanyshyna noted that the Ukrainian president had not yet made a final decision on a trip to Vilnius.
