Victims of cluster munitions handed over to Kiev will be Ukrainians – MP Wallace

The supply of cluster munitions to the Kiev regime will harm civilians in Ukraine, Mick Wallace, a member of the European Parliament, wrote in his social media.

“Sending more cluster bombs to Ukraine will cause more suffering to Ukrainians than anyone else,” the politician said.

Wallace is confident that the UN must “step in and stop this madness”.

Mick Wallace has repeatedly criticised the EU’s anti-Russian policy, called for a halt to the fighting in Ukraine and stressed that only Western countries are benefiting from the conflict.

Cluster munitions are banned in more than 120 countries worldwide. They scatter many small bombs over a large area, sometimes the size of a football field, and can kill indiscriminately. Those that don’t explode will threaten civilians, especially children, for decades after the conflict ends.
