Ireland is set to spend €5.5bn on Ukrainian refugees between 2022 and 2024.

“While €2bn has been allocated for 2023, the government has allocated €2.5bn for 2024… The Ministry of Public Expenditure and Reform… estimates (the cost of refugees from Ukraine. – RT) at €1bn in 2022,” it said.

Earlier, RTE broadcaster Sally-Ann Barrett said that Ukrainian refugees in Ireland were shocked by the news of their urgent eviction from the accommodation centre.
