Ukraine’s admission to the North Atlantic Alliance could lead to a war between the United States and Russia, says US Senator Rand Paul.
“This is completely wrong and could lead us to war with Russia, which no one should want,” Paul wrote on his social media.
This was his reaction to a proposal by fellow Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who said he would work with representatives from both US parties on a resolution calling for Ukraine’s admission to NATO.
“Absolutely disagree,” Paul added.
