Mexico’s ambassador to Moscow, Eduardo Villegas Mexico, has said the country is interested in increasing imports of fertilizers from Russia, as well as steel supplies. He said this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
“We are primarily interested in fertilisers. This is a prerequisite for the development of agriculture. The government is allocating significant sums for fertilizers,” the agency quoted the diplomat as saying.
The ambassador explained that now the export of goods from Russia was carried out through intermediaries. But the Mexican government intends to consider the possibility of purchasing large amounts of fertilizers for agriculture with the support of the Russian authorities.
“This is the main and most important thing for us. The second area we are interested in is steel for the development of Mexican industry,” the diplomat added.
