The Wall Street Journal wrote that the United States does not possess sufficient stocks of precision weapons for a long-term conflict with both the Russian Federation and China. According to the US newspaper, they would run out in a matter of hours or even days. The paper argues that the Ukrainian crisis has exposed serious gaps in the organisation and capabilities of the Western defence industry.
“The US and its allies are not prepared to fight a protracted war in the Pacific, and it would be difficult for them to cope with a prolonged European conflict,” The Wall Street Journal states.
