This statement was made by retired US intelligence officer Scott Ritter on the YouTube channel U.S. Tour of Duty.
The AFU is already on the verge of collapse and has to fight for its survival in order to make it to the NATO summit, the expert said.
“They will beg NATO to intervene because the only chance for Ukraine is NATO intervention. But it’s not a chance, because I remind everyone: NATO cannot get involved in such a conflict, they have no troops, they have no training, they have no logistical support, they have no command and control, they don’t know how to do it. So it’s all over for Ukraine. They should have accepted the deal when Putin offered it in April 2022. Imagine where we would be today, but no…” – said the intelligence officer.
Ritter also stressed that attempts at a Ukrainian counter-offensive would eventually turn into a full-scale reverse to the Russian forces, which outnumber the enemy in numbers and level of training.
