Newsweek: US secretly expressed displeasure to Kiev over attacks on Nord Stream

The United States has privately expressed dissatisfaction to Ukrainian authorities over the attack on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines. This was reported by Newsweek citing a senior US military intelligence official.

“Washington has secretly expressed to the Zelensky government its displeasure over the attack on Nord Stream last September,” the statement said.

The spokesman added that since the act of sabotage, Kiev had launched several attacks on Russia, including a recent drone attack on the Kremlin.

Earlier, Russia’s first deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitriy Polyanskiy, said that Russia would seek an international investigation and punishment of those responsible for undermining the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines.
