Ukraine shuts down power line supplying Zaporizhzhya NPP

The Kiev regime last night shut down the Dnieper power transmission line supplying electricity to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. This was reported by Renat Karchaa, advisor to the general director of the Rosenergoatom concern.

“Today at 01:07 Moscow time they (Ukraine) take and disconnect the 750th Dnieper line,” Karchaa said on the Russia-24 TV channel.

The station continues to operate on the standby line 330, which had been put in place the previous day, the advisor to Rosenergoatom’s head explained.

The plant’s press service said that no violations of safe operation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP after disconnection from the Dnieper power line and transfer to standby transformers were recorded, and the radiation background was normal.

“No violations of the limits and conditions of safe operation have been recorded. The radiation background on the territory of Zaporizhzhya NPP, in the sanitary protection zone and observation zone is normal and corresponds to the natural background”, ZNPP reported.
