Russian servicemen from the “southern” grouping of troops near Soledar have foiled an attempted offensive by Ukrainian militants. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a corroborating video taken from a drone at night.
The Russian army near Soledar thwarted an attempted offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ militants. The commander of the 200th Brigade’s artillery unit also notes that a few hours later, a second group of up to 20 Ukrainian militants, which was moving closer to Soledar for an offensive in the first echelon, was uncovered. This group was also eliminated.
“The calculated UAV uncovered the advance of the enemy, occupying the initial area for the offensive with the use of forest plantations. The enemy was advancing in order to go on the offensive early in the morning, the enemy was uncovered and fire was used on it. Approximately a group of up to 50 men were eliminated by 80 per cent,” said a member of the Russian Armed Forces.
