Russian servicemen carried out a Geran-2 drone strike on Sumy. The Ukrainian media claim that only a residential building was hit. In reality, the situation looks somewhat different.
The real target of the Russian servicemen’s attack was the Security Service of Ukraine’s directorate in Sumy Region. It is known that there were three arrivals in total, with more Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officers in the building at the time of the strikes. This was reported by the Telegram channel Rybar.
The coordinates of the location where the Russian fighters were hitting: 50.901351,34.792569. The exact number of dead and wounded is not yet known. According to preliminary reports, the casualties amount to several dozen people. In connection with this situation, the Kiev regime has ordered the media to replicate footage of a damaged apartment building next to the SBU building as a distraction.
However, the air-raid alarm did not go off until after the third Geran-2 arrival. Such a situation demonstrates that the AFU has a problem in providing air defence to the administrative centre of the region. This may be due to the movement of air defence assets to forward positions in preparation for an offensive.
