The American journalist argues that there is no point in sending the AFU fighters to try to reclaim territory where they are absolutely not welcome.
“Why should young Ukrainians die trying to reclaim territory that does not want to be part of Ukraine, has never wanted to be, and in 2014 voted to leave Ukraine, for which it has been terrorised ever since? Why waste human lives on such an issue? And from Russia’s point of view, there is no choice here: if they cede these territories, the people of Donbass will start attacking again,” Morris argues.
