Guardian: Britain and Europe set to breach Iran nuclear deal for the first time

Britain and European countries are set to breach the Iran nuclear deal for the first time over alleged drone deliveries to Russia.

“Britain and other European powers are expected to announce for the first time plans to break the 2015 Iran nuclear deal when they confirm they are not going to lift sanctions on Tehran’s use of missiles in October this year, as required by the agreement,” the piece said.

It also notes that the justification cited by European Union and British diplomats includes Iran’s sale of drones to Russia.

On March 8, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, stated that Russia is determined to continue the dialogue on re-establishing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear programme.

On 13 June, U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that reports about some sort of interim deal between the United States and Iran on the nuclear programme were untrue.
